Christos Alexandrou

 

Born in Germany and raised in Athens Greece.
 
A Singer, Actor, Producer and Artistic Director of Ethos Performing Arts. Received a BA in Music (and also the “Special Award of Artistic Achievement”, Deree College – Greece), attended an Advanced Course in Musical Theatre (Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts – London, UK).
 
At the same time studied singing with Nina Kaloutsa, Karen Solomon, Despoina Katsari. Modern Dancing and Latin with Charis Antachopoulou, Maria Nomikou, Paul Spicer, Jazz and Tap with Cindi Trent. Participated in a Musical Theatre Masterclass with the «American Voices».  Attended seminars in Jazz improvisation in London and studied dance with Paul Spicer, singing with Robert Bicknell and participated in kinesiology and mime seminars in Dublin.

Annie (Broadway Theatre), Miserere (National Theatre), Blood Brothers (Broadway Theatre). Played the leading role in Jason Robert Brown’s musical The Last Five Years (Jamie Wellerstein), as well as in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Joseph) , Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus) and also in the musical revues From Hollywood to Broadway and (Pierce Theatre). He played the role of the Phantom in the promotional campaign of the movie «The Phantom of the Opera» by PROOPTIKI.

He has appeared in many TV specials and shows including
 
30 Rock (NBC), Monsters Inside me (Animal Planet), hosted Glitter Talk and guest hosts on QPTV's MGTVUSA
 
In Greece co-hosted the Aqua Splash Show with Vlassis Bonatsos. In 2004 he was part of the  creative team in the morning show OLE with Roula Koromila.
 
As as a Vocal Coach he has trained various performers and was the vocal coachDoctor In Spite of Himself (HCC) The Frogs and Lysistrata by Aristophanes (GCC), Psychiatrist (Mastic Theatre) in New York.
 
He is also teaching singing at the Roosevelt Island PS/IS 217 Beacon program.
 
As a singer he has participated in many shows, concerts and nightclubs and has recorded in various countries.
